Carpentry
A timber deck and a slatted railing were added in front of the same cabin. The opening in the gate matches the diamond in the door. The building was already standing. The first photograph is from before the railing, when the walls were still bare timber.

A timber deck was laid beside the house. The edge is cut to fit around the tree trunks.

A timber deck was built over the slope in front of the house. The railing is cross-braced, and the posts stand on concrete pads.

A timber fence was built along the front of the building. Small holes are set into the lower boards, and naturally shaped timbers sit in the openings above. The building was already there.

The well stood open beside the pump. A timber frame was built over it, and bamboo was laid across the top as a cover. Two timber handles sit on the cover.

The same bridge, photographed in daylight and after dark. It has a timber frame, a bamboo screen on one side, and steps up to the deck. The night photograph shows solar lights on the steps.
Carpentry
The lower part was covered in dark vertical boards, and the wall above was painted white. It had been bare blockwork. This is the finished wall. There is no photograph from before the work.
Painting
The outside was painted brown to suit the surroundings. Before that, the upper walls were white, the lower part on the right was a pale brown, and blue paint remained on the eaves. The frame inside was treated with a rust-converting paint. Both photographs show the outside.
